The Ring series is fragments of Alvin’s journey,  from Earth to orbit, from body to data.
For 25 years, Alvin lived in M World, a city beneath a sky filled with floating objects, colossal space stations, artificial habitats, and silent giants drifting above. Everyone knew, at 26 years old, they would leave Earth. It was not a choice but a migration, a countdown. Alvin always felt the pull. Since birth, he looked up, knowing that one day, he would be up there too.
The closer he came to 26, the more he felt time limited. Friends. Family. Love. All slowly faded into farewell and separation. The floating object in the sky above wasn’t just a future; it was a memory in motion.
These rings are shaped by those memories, the mind’s eye images from Alvin.
Some of them are also echoes from M Valley, a digital space where Alvin is transformed, during a forest scan from one of his job training, he accidentally into a digital monster, with a different body form. Drawn into a portal, he awakens in a world of shifting structures, alien architectures, and sentient terrain. The forms he sees there linger in his mind, surreal, distorted, and dreamlike.
Each ring is a trace of what he saw and felt, from the organic motion of space-borne creatures to the fragmented ruins of a digital terrain. Sculptural and symbolic, they are wearable artefacts and art pieces of migration, memory, and transformation.
